About

Sea Czar City is a place in the Gulp Island of my mind. It resides next to Never-Never Land and south of Dogpatch. If you are offended by puns, burlesque show girls and baggy-pants clowns, avoid it at all costs. If you don’t like retro and don’t know a shaggy doy story from a Disney movie, pass it by. But if you have always wanted to see Phil Silvers sell a fan to Sally Rand, welcome home.

Sea Czar City is an ongoing (I hope) story book. You will want to scroll down to page 1.

Glad you like it. I know its a bit of a challenge to go back through to the beginning to follow along but hope you will find some rewards on the way. I enjoyed your rants. Though not a Mormon I went to Dixie College in St. George back near the dawn of time so kind of know your stomping grounds. Glad to read your not too impressed with Mitt.

I love St. George and the Red Rock country. It is seriously one of most beautiful places on the planet. My fear with a republican president is that he might grant Utah’s desires and give back all federal lands including the National Parks. There are other reasons to distrust a republican president. Even though I am LDS, I hold most LDS politicians with a high degree of suspicion. Anyway . . . I enjoy your work and have looked carefully at what you’re doing to see if I can learn from you. Keep it up.

Your most kind. I’m sure we can learn from each other. If you look at my other blog, Vegas In The desert Of My Mind, at the sidebar you’ll find some sections on St. george and Salt Lake City. From what I observe from Canada, you seem to have every right to fear a Republican president (though I must say, there seems to be something to worry with a Democratic one as well0. Canada has its own problems with a rightwing Prime Minister chewing up what is left of our tattered socially conscience way of life. Certainly fundamentalist leaders of any stripe be it Christian, Jew or Moslem have a frightening certainity of purpose that scares the beejeezus out of me. Well thats a pretty gloomy note for an Easter Morning but I have young people in my life and I despair of the kind of world I am leaving them with. Keep up your rants, they are good for the blood.
